Event: Dirk Nowitzki’s Celebrity Baseball Game
Date: June 8, 7-10 p.m.
Location: Dr. Pepper Ballpark
You’ll not only get to see celebrities playing baseball, but you’ll also be supporting a good cause. This game is hosted by Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki. See who he has snagged for his team by following his updates @HeroesCelebrity on Twitter and Heroes Foundation on Facebook.
Event: Fort Worth’s Fourth
Date: July 4 at 2 p.m.
Location: Panther Island Pavilion
Throughout the day, enjoy activities and shows for the whole family. There’s a kid zone with pony rides, bounce houses and water slides. After the sun goes down, witness a fighter jet flyover at 8 p.m. Then the largest firework show in North Texas starts at 10 p.m. General admission is free, but bring some cash for the concession stand.
Event: Vans Warped Tour
Date: July 6
Location: Dos Equis Pavilion
It’s hard to believe this is the last-ever Vans Warped Tour! Reminisce about your teenage years with some pop-punk, ska and other big names of the late 90s and early 2000s. Reel Big Fish, 30H!3, Mayday Parade, Bowling For Soup and so many more will by playing. No doubt you’ll bond with those around you over the times you’ll never forget–though some of us might like to. Tickets start at $45.
Event: Riverfront Jazz Festival
Date: August 31-September 2
Location: Texas Horse Park
This is the 2nd Annual Riverfront Jazz Festival featuring some of the world’s best jazz artists. Three main stages will entertain you with a variety of back-to-back traditional and contemporary jazz performances. Blues and soul artists will also perform, with a dedicated stage for young Dallas musicians to make their debut. This three-day festival will also have concessions and vendor booths available.
Event: Beyoncé and Jay-Z Concert
Date: September 11 7:30 p.m.
Location: AT&T Stadium
