3 Hot Spots for a Massage in Dallas

Massage

Vacations are meant to be relaxing. While there’s plenty to do and see in Dallas, you should also leave a little room for rest and recuperation. After all, there’s nothing more stressful than returning from a getaway only to feel that you need a few days of recovery time. How about a massage?

At Magnolia Dallas Downtown, we work to ensure that you have a pleasant and restful stay. Whether you’re running around to nearby zoos and theme parks with the kids all day, or busy with work meetings, our goal is to give you a comfortable place to come home to every night.

If your tired feet and sore muscles need a little extra care, our boutique hotel is just minutes away from several of the area’s top spas. Here are a few of our favorite local hotspots for a massage.

Koffee Day Spa

A Yelp award-winner, Koffee Day Spa has been getting lots of buzz lately. That’s because its massage offerings are extensive as dishes on a restaurant menu. Offerings range from traditional Swedish massage, reflexology and aromatherapy to Far East influenced treatments including hot stone and bamboo rolling. There are also romantic options for couples, and sports massages perfect for husbands and business travelers who aren’t wowed by traditional massage techniques. One of Koffee’s most intriguing massages is a four-hands version where two therapists work in choreographed patterns to knead sore muscles. Between the soothing rhythm and aromatherapy oils, it’s tough not to fall asleep during this treatment. Prices are higher for non-members, but it’s worth the extra bucks if you’re not a Dallas regular.

Vis-à-Vis Salon & Float Spa

Like Koffee, this Uptown medical spa has an extensive massage list with extras like trigger point kneading and cold stone facials. Their offerings range from typical Swedish and hot stone massages to unusual techniques like cupping and cranial sacral therapy. If you’re less about the hands-on relaxation, book some time in the zero-gravity massage chair for as little as $15. The spa also offers a float room featuring a zero-gravity float pod filled with 700 lbs. of water treated with Epsom salts and Dead Sea minerals. Combination packages are available for those with a few extra hours to spare. View the options HERE.

Vigor Massage & Personal Training

Tired of girly spas and gentle massages? Vigor has a massage program with the fitness buff in mind. Here, the massage menu cuts straight to the chase: one single massage with intervals ranging from 30 to 90 minutes. According to their website, the onsite massage therapist uses “a combination of Swedish/deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, Myofacial release, and sports massage.” European facials, body polishes with foot scrubbing, and sauna time can be added to your massage for a small charge. Obviously, this isn’t a posh experience, but it’s ideal for gentlemen or ladies who prefer a good post-workout treatment to a day of pampering and primping. Visit the Vigor website for details.

After your relaxing day at the spa, head back to Magnolia Dallas Downtown for a little extra care. Continue soaking your troubles away in your room’s oversized bath, workout in our state-of-the-art fitness room or enjoy a craft cocktail in The Lounge – whatever soothes your spirit.
