Magnolia Hotels Announce Romantic Packages For Valentine’s Day

Jan. 22, 2009 (DENVER)—The Magnolia hotels in Dallas, Denver, Houston and Omaha know how to turn a weekend downtown into a celebration, and Valentine’s Day is no exception. Each Magnolia hotel has created a package guaranteed to melt hearts. The following packages are available for Friday, Feb. 13 or Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009.

The Magnolia Hotel- Dallas is offering the “Little Bit Naughty… Lots of Nice” package in a one-bedroom suite for Valentine’s Day weekend. The highlight of this package is a gourmet four-course candlelit dinner, complete with Champagne and a long-stem red rose, in addition to a “Naughty & Nice” couples kit. Dinner includes an amuse of cranberry macerated figs stuffed with pistachio and green pepper braised beef on a round of grilled polenta, followed by an appetizer choice of either Boston bibb salad with burgundy poached pear, roasted walnuts, snow peas and a ruby red grapefruit vinaigrette. The entrée choice consists of either an eight-ounce all-natural Angus NY Strip with broccolini, vanilla poached baby carrots and rustic fingerling potatoes, or pink peppercorn soy broiled salmon and shrimp mousse with coconut steamed jasmine rice, steamed snow peas, crisp julienne vegetable and a ponzu glaze. Dessert choice is chilled NY cheesecake with blueberry port compote and warm raspberry mint tea, or molten chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream and strawberries.

After the dinner, guests can indulge in the treats contained in the kit, including a silky blindfold, bubble bath/bath salts, warming massage oil, chocolate body paint, disposable camera and a sexy “IOU” coupon booklet. The couple also will enjoy a rose petal turndown service, with additional rose petals for a romantic bubble bath. A full American breakfast served in the Magnolia Club is included for the next morning. This package is $399 per night, plus tax and dinner gratuities. As a lower-priced alternative, the Magnolia Dallas also offers the “Love Package.” The Love Package is perfect for those seeking a quiet, romantic retreat. This package includes one night in a King guestroom, one long-stem red rose, a chilled bottle of Domaine St. Vincent Brut Rose, and valet parking. This overnight package also includes a beer and wine reception, bedtime cookie buffet, and hot American breakfast for two, all for $169 plus tax. The Magnolia Hotel-Denver is offering the “Sweet Treats: Build Your Own Valentine’s Package” and guests can do just that… select from an assortment of offerings to customize their own overnight romantic package. The guest can select either a King guestroom or one-bedroom suite, and Romantic Extras they can opt for include a bouquet of a half-dozen roses, one-dozen roses, rose petal turndown, Champagne, strawberries and a romantic bubble bath drawn for you, or even a diamond necklace. The one-quarter carat diamond solitaire pendant set in white gold is available to add on for $175. The overnight package includes a beer and wine reception, bedtime cookie buffet, and hot American breakfast for two. The Magnolia Hotel Houston is offering the “Aphrodisiac Romance” package. This package includes a king guestroom, one-dozen roses, Champagne, chocolate truffles, and a delicious candlelit three-course dinner for two served in-room. The menu consists of aphrodisiac foods, including fresh scallops with avocado puree, jalapeno pesto and white truffles with orange marmalade; lobster and crab stuffed grilled artichoke heart with a salad of pomegranate and raspberry vinaigrette; and filet of beef with a Zinfandel and melon reduction, white chocolate poached prawn, buttermilk mashed baby blue fingerling potatoes; and tournée cut vegetable medley—followed by chocolate truffles and Champagne.  The overnight package includes a beer and wine reception, bedtime cookie buffet, and hot American breakfast for two. The Magnolia Hotel Omaha has teamed up with The Durham Museum to offer the “Chocolate Fantasy” package. Chocolate for your sweetheart is a time-honored tradition for Valentine’s Day, and one The Magnolia takes to the next level. Enjoy a gourmet three-course dinner with wine pairings in a Magnolia private dining room. After dinner, enjoy a nightcap at the bar (one per guest), such as a Chocolate Martini or Bailey’s with Hot Chocolate. When ready to retreat, guests can indulge in chocolate-covered strawberries that will be delivered to your room.  In the morning, guests can relax and enjoy a late check-out of 12 noon.
