The Omaha Magnolia Hotel is a 145-room boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown Omaha. With 20 suites and a spacious 1,200 square-foot presidential suite, as well as a gorgeous outdoor courtyard, it has established itself as the leader in the wedding market in Omaha. This downtown Omaha hotel, near the Orpheum Theater, was built in 1923 by Chicago financier Chester Cook, and named the Aquila Court building to honor Chester's grandmother. The faces of George and Aquila Court are on the front of the building, which is constructed of Bedford limestone and contains Tennessee marble floors and a Brazilian cherry wood lobby. The building design was based on the Bargello, a palace in Florence, Italy, which contained a peaceful courtyard. The Bargello is now a museum that contains early Italian sculpture.
